''Senior lawyer is not allowed to argue during the vacation period'' : SC judge

Currently, the Vacation Bench is hearing cases in the Supreme Court.

On Monday, the bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath once again bluntly said that no senior lawyer will argue during the vacation period.

Along with this, he refused to allow senior lawyers to argue in his court.

In fact, on Monday, when the cases were being heard by the bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath, the senior lawyer appeared before the bench and started asking for permission to debate.

On this, Justice Nath made it clear that he would not allow this.

Justice Nath further said that last year we had made it clear that no senior lawyer would argue during the vacation period.

He further said, senior lawyers are not allowed to argue in my court.

Last year I had made it clear that no senior lawyer would argue during the vacation.

On Monday, senior lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi reached the Supreme Court in connection with the advocacy of a case. Here, Singhvi sought permission to argue before the court. However, he also said, I want there to be a uniform policy.

To this, Justice Nath, who was presiding over the vacation bench, replied and said, I am the head of my court. At the same time, some senior lawyers also arrived to appear on behalf of both parties in another case.

During this, Justice Nath asked him to allow his junior colleagues to argue.

Justice Nath told the senior lawyers, Both of you take your seats. Let your colleague argue.

Later, in a lighthearted manner, he also asked the arguing lawyers not to pay their seniors for the hearing.

Justice Nath said, ''Do not pay your seniors, Do not pay fees to your seniors. If you have given it then take it back.''
