Telangana HC Designates 22 Lawyers As Senior Advocates

The Telangana High Court has designated 22 lawyers as Senior Advocates following a Full Court meeting held on September 16, 2026.

The designation has been made under Section 16(2) of the Advocates Act, 1961, read with the relevant guidelines for designation of advocates as Senior Advocates. The notification states that the designations will take effect from September 16, 2026.

The 22 lawyers designated as Senior Advocates are:

  3. M. Rajender Reddy

  4. Yerabati Rama Rao

  5. Manmohan Dundu

  6. Kalpana Ekbote

  7. A. Prabhakar Rao

  8. Y. Ratnakar

  9. K. Raghavacharyulu

  10. J. V. Prasad

  11. E. Uma Maheshwar Rao

  12. Srinivas Velagapudi

  13. Dr. Juttukonda Vijayalaxmi

  14. Chetluru Srinivas

  15. Palle Nageswar Rao

  16. V. V. S. N. Raju

  17. P. S. Rajasekhar

  18. Ramesh Vishwanathula Vishwanath

  19. Thomas George

  20. Chikkudu Prabhakar Babu

The High Court’s notification records that the decision was taken by the Chief Justice and Judges during the Full Court meeting and that the 22 advocates have been conferred the Senior Advocate designation with effect from September 16.
