Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson and activist Saurav Das has approached the Delhi High Court against media commentator Abhijit Iyer-Mitra and several media platforms, alleging that his home address and other personal details were made public.

Das has filed the suit against Iyer-Mitra, The Pamphlet, Law Beat, The Jaipur Dialogues and The Sunday Guardian, seeking damages of more than ₹2 crore for what he claims is a violation of his privacy.

He has also asked the court to restrain the defendants from publishing or circulating his residential address and other personal information. Das has sought directions for the removal of videos and social media posts containing the alleged disclosures.

The petition also seeks directions to X Corp and Google to take down the disputed content and prevent it from being circulated further.

According to Das, he has been living in a rented ground-floor room in Greater Kailash-I since early 2025. He alleges that representatives of The Pamphlet entered the shared residential premises without permission, recorded the interiors and later uploaded the footage on X on August 5.

The video allegedly revealed his residential address and has crossed 2.1 million views. Das has further claimed that the video was republished on August 10.

Das has also alleged that Iyer-Mitra disclosed details about his residence during a Law Beat programme, including the name of his neighbour, and incorrectly stated that he paid around ₹7 lakh in monthly rent. According to the suit, Iyer-Mitra later shared multiple posts containing similar information.

Das said he filed a police complaint on August 5 and informed the defendants about the security concerns arising from the disclosures. However, he alleges that the information continued to be published and recirculated.

In his suit, Das has argued that the repeated disclosure of his residential details, along with his previous exposure to violent threats, has increased the risk of hostile individuals locating his home. He has claimed that this could put him, his family members and other residents of the premises at risk of intimidation, harassment and physical violence.
