On the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium, the Central Government has notified the shuffling of three judges from the Rajasthan High Court and the Delhi High Court.

While Justice Arun Monga has been transferred back to the Rajasthan High Court, Justice Dinesh Mehta and Justice Avnessh Jhingan have been transferred to the Delhi High Court from the Rajasthan High Court. 

The SC Collegium, led by CJI BR Gavai, had recommended the transfer of Justice Arun Kumar Monga on 26.05.2025.

On the 25th and 26th August 2025 meeting of the SC Collegium, the names of two other judges, Justice Jhingan and Justice Mehta, were recommended for transfer.

Notably, by these two recommendations, the Collegium had recommended a total of 35 judges to be transferred from one High Court to another across the country.
