Court proceedings at the Punjab and Haryana High Court were temporarily suspended on Thursday following a bomb threat alert.
In an official notice, Gagandeep Jammu, Secretary of the High Court Bar Association, informed members of the legal fraternity that an alert regarding a potential bomb threat had been received, prompting immediate precautionary measures.
"As a matter of safety, all members are requested to vacate the courtrooms without delay," the notice stated. Proceedings are expected to resume post-lunch at 2:00 PM.
The Bar Association has urged everyone within the court premises to stay alert. Any suspicious or unattended items should be reported immediately to the office of the High Court Bar Association in Chandigarh.
