In a significant development, the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held today, has approved the elevation of three distinguished advocates as Judges of the Rajasthan High Court.
The Supreme Court had earlier approved names of 7 advocates out of the list of 14 advocates whose names were sent by the Collegium of Rajasthan High court last year led by Chief Justice MM Srivastav.
The Collegium has cleared the following names for appointment:
The appointments are part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the judiciary and fill existing vacancies in the High Courts. These recommendations will now be sent to the Government for formal issuance of appointment orders.
The New Chief Justice of India is set to work hard with the new collegium.
