Public entry to the District Court in Amritsar and the Sub-Divisional Court in Ajnala has been temporarily suspended from May 9 to May 14, 2025.

According to an order issued by the Punjab & Haryana High Court, the courts will function in a limited capacity during this period to minimize footfall.

The order further states that the presence of judicial officers and staff will be kept to a minimum. Only 50% of court staff will report for duty on a rotational basis, while the remaining personnel are exempted from daily attendance.
