Chief Justice of India BR Gavai on Monday expressed profound grief over the loss of lives in the car explosion that took place in Delhi on November 10, 2025, calling it a “heart-wrenching incident”.
Speaking on behalf of the Supreme Court and the wider legal community, the CJI conveyed sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and expressed support for all individuals impacted by the blast.
The CJI stated:
“We are deeply grieved by the tragic loss of lives in the unfortunate car blast that occurred in Delhi on the night of November 10, 2025.”
“On behalf of the Supreme Court of India and the judicial and legal fraternity across the nation, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in this painful incident. Our thoughts are with those who are mourning, as well as those injured or otherwise affected. While words may not heal the anguish of such a loss, we hope the collective empathy and support of the country may bring some degree of comfort in these difficult times.”
