The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition challenging the election of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan from the Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.

Justice Amit Bansal ruled that the Delhi High Court lacked the territorial jurisdiction to hear the matter, as the election in question was conducted in Bihar.

“In view of the lack of territorial jurisdiction, the election petition stands dismissed,” the court stated.
