Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan has approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights, alleging misuse of his identity through AI-generated videos, impersonation, and fake association content on Google, Meta platforms, and e-commerce sites.
Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora noted that, as per precedent in the Ajay Devgn case, individuals must first notify social media platforms before seeking court orders. Senior Advocate J Sai Deepak appeared for Kalyan.
The Court directed Kalyan to submit all infringing links and details within 48 hours, and instructed Google, Meta, and others to act within one week as per the IT Rules, 2021.
Next hearing: December 22.
Recently, similar protection orders were granted to Sunil Gavaskar, Salman Khan, NTR Jr., Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, Sudhir Chaudhary, and podcaster Raj Shamani.
