Law firm Desai & Diwanji has appointed Anubhav Mehta as a Partner in its Banking and Finance practice, strengthening its capabilities in banking, financial services, fintech and technology-led financial products.
Mehta brings 17 years of experience across leading financial institutions and in-house roles. He will be based in the firm's Mumbai practice and will advise banks, financial institutions, fintech companies and businesses on complex financing, financial services and regulatory matters.
Before joining Desai & Diwanji, Mehta worked with J.P. Morgan, Standard Chartered Bank and ICICI Bank, where he advised on a broad range of banking and financial services matters. His experience includes corporate finance, real estate finance, trade finance, escrow arrangements, domestic and cross-border custody services, securities lending and borrowing, digital banking and cards, and distribution of third-party products through online and offline channels.
His practice also covers emerging areas of financial services, including payment aggregator services, digital lending, digital lockers and card tokenisation. He has worked with financial institutions and other stakeholders on developing new financial products and establishing governance frameworks.
