A major news story has emerged from Ajmer district in Rajasthan. Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand, Judge of the Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court, was injured in a road accident on Tuesday night at around 8:30 PM. The incident occurred near a culvert close to Saradhana village, when his vehicle lost control and met with an accident.

Soon after the accident, the Judge’s driver and PSO immediately informed the authorities, ensuring swift assistance. Ajmer’s Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) along with other senior officials rushed to the spot. The District Collector and Superintendent of Police also reached the scene without delay and coordinated the rescue and safety measures, preventing any further complications.

Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Ajmer, where a team of doctors began his treatment. After preliminary examinations, his condition is reported to be stable, and he remains under medical observation. The incident has raised concerns regarding road safety, and an inquiry into the circumstances of the accident is currently underway.

Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand was elevated as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court on 18 October 2021. He was enrolled with the Bar Council on 14 January 1995 and practiced for nearly 26 years at the Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court. His practice primarily covered criminal, service, and other miscellaneous legal matters.

A few years back, Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand, while he was practising as a lawyer before the Rajasthan High Court, met with an accident while Paragliding.

He has also served as Standing Counsel for several key state bodies, including the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), Rajasthan State Road Development Corporation, Rajasthan Financial Corporation, Rajasthan Housing Board, as well as various universities and educational institutions.
