Today, Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra was officially sworn in as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court following his recent transfer from the Allahabad High Court.
An alumnus of Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, Justice Mishra holds a B.A. (Honours) in Economics and an LL.B. from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. Enrolled as an advocate on May 8, 1993, he built a distinguished legal practice in civil, constitutional, and service law.
Throughout his career, Justice Mishra served as arguing counsel for several statutory authorities, including NOIDA, Ghaziabad Development Authority, Allahabad Development Authority, IFFCO, Indian Oil Corporation, and the U.P. Power Corporation. He also represented the State Government in key legal matters and was designated as a Senior Advocate in 2013 in recognition of his expertise.
Justice Mishra was elevated to the bench as an Additional Judge on February 3, 2014, and became a Permanent Judge on February 1, 2016. He was transferred to the Punjab and Haryana High Court on July 21, 2025.
