Karnataka High Court to have 6 more new Judges: SC Collegium recommended 6 advocate's name

The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on June 2, 2026, approved the proposal for the appointment of six advocates as Judges of the High Court of Karnataka.

The advocates recommended for elevation are:

  • Raghavendra Seetharam Srivatsa

  • Hema Kulkarni

  • Subramanya Rangarao

  • Thadagavadi Prakash Vivekananda

  • Bakkeswara Pramod

  • Hombe Gowda Shanthi Bhushan

The recommendation is part of the Collegium's continuing efforts to fill judicial vacancies in High Courts across the country. Once cleared by the Central Government, the appointments will strengthen the Karnataka High Court's judicial capacity and help address the growing caseload.

The six advocates are expected to bring extensive experience from the Bar to the Bench, contributing to the administration of justice in one of the country's busiest High Courts.
