Lamborghini to Broomstick: Karnataka HC Orders Community Service for Rash Driver

The Karnataka High Court has told a man caught driving his green Lamborghini recklessly that he must do community service if he wants his criminal case to be closed.

The bench of Justice M. Nagaprasanna agreed to quash the case against Chiranth BR, but said he will have to complete some form of community service.

Case Brief:

The case started in December 2025 after a video of Chiranth’s rash driving went viral on social media. His car also had a modified silencer. Even though he paid a fine, the police later registered a case, saying the illegal silencer had not been replaced.

Chiranth went to the High Court, claiming he had fixed the issue. His lawyer argued that he was being wrongly shown as an offender. But the judge didn’t agree.

In a light moment, the judge remarked that he could “go in your Lamborghini, sweep the streets, and come back in your Lamborghini.”

When asked what kind of community service he would do, his lawyer suggested teaching school children about traffic rules. The judge jokingly responded that this might send the wrong message, since he himself was accused of breaking traffic rules.

The State’s lawyer also said it wouldn’t make sense for him to teach traffic discipline and suggested the service should be related to his mistake.

The Court finally said it would quash the FIR but will decide a suitable community service for him.
