"Me and my wife are receiving threats for the last 4 days" : Sameer Wankhede to Bombay HC

Former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai zonal director, Sameer Wankhede, on Monday, alleged that his life is in danger and he has been receiving threats for the past four days.

Wankhede submits before the Bombay High Court for the Rs 25 crore extortion case hearing.

“There is a serious threat to me. I have been continuously getting threats for the past four days. I will share all the details with the police commissioner,” said Sameer Wankhede.

Wankhede has been accused of attempting to extort Rs 25 crore from Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan in exchange for securing his elder son Aryan Khan's release in the high-profile drugs-on-cruise case.

The division bench of Justice Ahuja and Justice Sathaye is hearing Sameer Wankhede's petition.

Abad Pondaconsel for Sameer Wankhede while advocate Kuldeep Patil is representing the CBI.

The CBI will submit the investigation report in the case so far in the court today during the hearing.
