Pune Court Denies Bail to Porsche Crash Juvenile’s Father Despite Medical Plea for Ailing Mother

A Pune court on Wednesday dismissed a temporary bail plea filed by the father of the minor involved in the May 2024 Porsche crash, despite his claim that his 79-year-old mother required urgent medical attention.

The man, a city-based builder, had sought bail on humanitarian grounds, stating that his mother was suffering from a serious spine condition and needed surgery. He argued that his presence was essential during her treatment.

However, Additional Sessions Judge K P Kshirsagar rejected the request, citing the serious nature of the case and the “reasonable apprehension” that the applicant could tamper with witnesses. The court held that these concerns outweighed the grounds put forth for his temporary release.
