The Rajasthan High Court Lawyers’ Association has urged the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court to declare a five-day “No Work” period starting May 12, 2025.
The appeal comes in view of the “sensitive and volatile situation in the region,” citing a prolonged communication blackout and threats posed by separatist and disruptive elements.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Justice, the Association emphasized that the request is made purely as a precautionary measure, considering the “tense law and order situation.” The move is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of lawyers, litigants, judicial officers, and all other stakeholders.
The Association has requested that the proposed suspension of work apply not only to the High Court but also to its subordinate courts, covering the period from May 12 to May 16, 2025.
