SC Collegium Approves Appointment of Three Advocates as Bombay High Court Judges

In a meeting held on July 28, 2025, the Supreme Court Collegium approved the elevation of three advocates to the Bombay High Court bench.

The advocates recommended for judgeship are:

  • Shri Ajit Bhagwanrao Kadethankar

  • Ms. Aarti Arun Sathe

  • Shri Sushil Manohar Ghodeswar

The Collegium’s decision marks another step forward in strengthening the judicial capacity of one of the country’s busiest High Courts. The recommendations will now be sent to the Central government for formal appointment and notification.

The Collegium was headed by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud and also comprised senior judges of the apex court.
