The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on July 28, 2025, approved the proposal for the elevation of Shri Vimal Kumar Yadav, a judicial officer, as a Judge of the Delhi High Court.

With this recommendation, the Collegium continues its push to strengthen the judiciary by promoting experienced officers from the subordinate judiciary to the High Court bench.

The proposal will now move forward for approval by the Central government, following which the official notification of appointment will be issued.
