The Supreme Court Collegium on Tuesday recommended the elevation of nine advocates as judges of the Calcutta High Court.

The recommendation was made during the Collegium meetings held on May 11 and 12, 2026.

The advocates recommended for appointment are:

• Indranil Roy
• Aryak Dutt
• Atarup Banerjee
• Sandip Kumar De
• Partha Pratim Roy
• Sudip Deb
• Anuj Singh
• Arjun Ray Mukherjee
• Rishad Medora

The appointments will come into effect after the Central government processes the Collegium’s recommendations and the warrants of appointment are signed by the President of India.
