The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Justice Manjusha Ajay Deshpande as a permanent judge of the Bombay High Court.

"The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 14th April, 2026 has approved the proposal for appointment of Smt. Justice Manjusha Ajay Deshpande, Additional Judge as Permanent Judge of the High Court of Bombay," a statement released by the apex court said.

The decision was taken during a meeting held today. Justice Deshpande, who was appointed as an additional judge in 2023, had received a one-year extension in August 2025.
