The Supreme Court Collegium on Thursday recommended nine advocates for appointment as judges of the Patna High Court.
Following a meeting on Thursday, the Collegium approved the proposals for appointing the following advocates as judges.
(i) Md. Nadim Seraj;
(ii) Ranjan Kumar Jha;
(iii) Kumar Manish;
(iv) Sanjeev Kumar;
(v) Girijish Kumar;
(vi) Alok Kumar;
(vii) Raj Kumar;
(viii) Rana Vikram Singh; and
(ix) Vikash Kumar.
Currently, the Patna High Court is functioning with 38 judges. Three judges, including Chief Justice S.K. Sahoo, are due to retire this year. The High Court has a total strength of 53 judges.
