SC Lawyers writes to SCBA Election Candidates to improve situation

Two Lawyers Nikhil Kumar Singh and Achal Singh Bule have written open letter to the candidates of the ensuing election for the Supreme Court Bar Association office bearers for improvising the filing and listing hurdles instead of giving other lucrative offers.

The Supreme Court Bar Association is set for election tomorrow. A debate took place today in the Supreme Court Lawns among the President and Secretary Candidates.

Sr. Advocate Kapil Sibal, Pradeep Rai and other senior advocates are fighting for the post of President.
The letter written by the Lawyers states some of the core issues and hurdles faced by the Supreme Court Lawyers in the Supreme Court Registry.

The Chief Justice of India had called off the system of circulation of letters for adjournment which is one of the main election agendas this year. Many lawyers are not found to be satisfied with this. When speaking to "the Law Advice Network", the Lawyers told that in the past one year the Supreme Court has elected very weak executive who are mostly non-practitioners.

It was also said that the candidates are offering to give many lucrative things to the lawyers in the form of medical and life insurance, they are necessary but the most important thing is the work related to practice. They also said that these things they can avail from outside but the issues faced by the lawyers in court are to be resolved within the court. Since the office bearers are the representatives of all the advocates who directly deal and work with the Chief Justice of India and other Judges, shall look into this and resolve these issues but nothing in the past one year has been done.
