In the recently held elections for the office bearers of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Senior Advocate Vikas Singh has been elected as the President, while Advocate Pragya Baghel has been elected as the Secretary. Senior Advocate Rahul Kaushik will serve as the Vice President, and Advocate Vikrant Yadav has been elected as the Treasurer.

Vikas Singh succeeds Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal as the President of the Association. Singh won by 213 votes, setting him to become President of the Association for the fourth time. He defeated Senior Advocate Pradeep Rai, who was able to secure 834 votes.

Notably, Vikrant Yadav, who previously held the position of Secretary, contested for the post of Treasurer after being rendered ineligible for re-election as Secretary due to the post being reserved for a woman candidate.

The Supreme Court earlier this month reserved the seat of Secretary for Women. Pragya Baghel defeated Preeti Singh.
