Supreme Court issues Calendar for 2026

The Supreme Court of India has released its Calendar for 2026, and this time it has been issued well in advance compared to the usual practice.

In 2026, the Supreme Court will have 189 working days and 176 holidays. Notably, for the first time, the entire month of May will be a working month for the Court.

The Court will commence its functioning on 5th January 2026, and the last working day of the year will be 18th December 2026.

The first week of March will be off for the Holi vacation, while the Dussehra vacation will fall in the third week of October. The Diwali vacation has been scheduled for the second week of November.

Additionally, there will be seven extended weekend holidays during the year.
