The Central Government has notified the appointment of Advocate Nchumbemo Mozhui and Judicial Officer Helen Dawngliani as Additional Judges of the Gauhati High Court.

The appointments were cleared after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended their names on August 18. Following the approval, the Central Government issued the notification appointing them as Additional Judges of the High Court.

With these appointments, the Gauhati High Court currently has a working strength of 24 judges against its sanctioned strength of 30.
