UP Govt Appoints 12 Lawyers, Including 2 Senior Advocates, as AAGs to Represent State in SC

The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed twelve lawyers, including two Senior Advocates and one woman advocate, as Additional Advocates General (AAGs) to represent the State before the Supreme Court.

A government notification announcing the appointments was issued on June 3.

The newly appointed AAGs hail from both the Allahabad and Lucknow Benches of the High Court. The list includes:

  • Senior Advocate Amit Saxena

  • Senior Advocate Anoop Trivedi

  • Durg Vijay Singh

  • Mahendra Narayan Singh

  • Rahul Agarwal

  • Sanjeev Singh

  • Kartikey Saran

  • Anuj Kudesia

  • Sudeep Kumar

  • Pritish Kumar

  • Jyotsna Pal

  • Surya Mani Singh Royekvar

These appointments are part of the State’s effort to strengthen its legal representation at the apex court.
