Noida Court Grants Bail to Driver in Lamborghini Accident Case

The Surajpur District Court in Noida has granted bail to Deepak, the driver accused in the Lamborghini accident that took place near the Sector 94 roundabout on Sunday.

The incident left two individuals injured after being struck by the luxury car in the Sector-126 police station area.

Following the court's decision, Advocate Mayank Pachauri, representing Deepak, stated, "We filed a bail application, and the court approved it with one surety. Another surety must be presented within two days. Since the offence was bailable, bail was granted. The accident occurred during a test drive, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing."

Both injured victims are currently receiving treatment at a hospital. Dr. Abhishek, one of the attending physicians, provided an update on their condition, noting that both require surgery. "When they were brought in, their condition was critical as they had fallen into a drain. Initially, they did not fully grasp the extent of their injuries. A team of orthopaedic specialists has assessed them and planned surgery. Their condition is stable, but they will require approximately four weeks of bed rest post-surgery before they can begin walking again," he stated.

One of the injured individuals recounted the horrifying experience, stating, "I suffered a muscle tear and other injuries. The car was speeding when it hit me. We were all labourers, and two of us got injured. I fell into a drain after the impact."

Another victim described the moments before the accident, saying, "We were waiting for a bus after work when suddenly, the car appeared at high speed. I had no time to escape. The vehicle was overspeeding. I was helped shortly after the crash, but I sustained injuries to my head, chest, hands, and nose. My leg was fractured when the car ran over me."

According to a statement issued by the police, "Two individuals sustained injuries after being struck by a Lamborghini near the Sector 94 roundabout in the Sector-126 police station area. The car, registered in the name of Mridul, was being driven by Deepak."

The police confirmed that Deepak, a resident of Ajmer, was arrested and the vehicle was seized. "A case has been registered at Sector-126 police station, and further legal proceedings are underway," the statement added.
