Raj High Court gets 4 new judges- Sharma, Shah, Rajpurohit & Beniwal

After the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the names of 7 advocates as the Judge of Rajasthan High Court, the Central Government has approved the names of 4 advocates.

Now Rajasthan High Court would get 4 new judges. Names of advocates Anand Sharma, Sunil Beniwal, Mukesh Rajpurohit, Sandeep Shah have been cleared by the Central Government.

Presently, the Rajasthan High Court is working with the strength of 36 judges and with the present addition, it would reach to 40 judges.

It is noteworthy that the Collegium of Rajasthan High Court headed by the Chief Justice MM Srivastav had sent a recommendation of 12+2 total 14 advocates to be appointed as judges of the Rajasthan High Court. The Supreme Court called all these advocates for interaction in the first week of March, 2025 and recommended the names of 7 advocates. Now the Central Government has finally approved the names of these 4 advocates for the post.

While Anand Sharma is practicing before the Jaipur Bench, Advocates Sunil Beniwal, Mukesh Rajpurohit, and Sandeep Shah are practicing before the principal bench at Jodhpur.

Chhatisgarh High Court also got 3 permanent judges, and the Punjab and Haryana High Court would also get 3 permanent judges.
