SCBA corrects Voters List entry: includes Pradeep Rai

The Supreme Court Bar Association's Election Committee has corrected the mistake committed by it in the Voter's List and included the name of Sr. Advocate Pradeep Rai. In the list issued by the SCBA on 06th May 2024, the name of Pradeep Rai was put in the SCBA Rejected Voters List. 

Rai told "The Law Advice" that it was a mistake by the office of SCBA and his name has now been included in the list. He has more than 200 appearances. The list has many more such mistakes. The list is in the process of correction and the same will be published tomorrow.

The List published by the SCBA on 06.05.2024 had put him in the rejected Voters list with the remarks "Only 07 mediations, Hence Rejected".

Rai is contesting for the post of President of the Supreme Court Bar Association. The elections of the Bar Body are scheduled on the 16th of this month.

Rai has remained Vice-President of the SCBA for two consecutive terms in 2021-22 and 2022-23. He is contesting against the present President Aadish Agarwala and Priya Hingorani. After the earlier News published by "The Law Advice", Rai published his banner on Instagram seeking vote for the post.
