Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Mumbai Court Sends Three Accused To Police Custody Till October 31

A Mumbai court on Wednesday remanded three accused in the firing incident outside actor Tiger Shroff's residence to the custody of the Mumbai Police Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) until October 31.

The accused, identified as Rehan, Ritik Kurmi and Phool Singh, were produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Esplanade after being brought to Mumbai from Kota.

The prosecution sought their police custody to investigate the alleged conspiracy behind the incident, which took place on the evening of October 18.

According to the police, assailants fired five to six rounds at Shroff's car in Juhu. While the actor escaped relatively unhurt, his driver and a bystander sustained injuries.

The Mumbai Police subsequently registered a First Information Report (FIR) for attempted murder and offences under the Arms Act.

Following the shooting, the accused allegedly abandoned their motorcycle in Andheri and attempted to flee to Nepal via Surat, Jaipur and Delhi. They were subsequently intercepted by the Kota Police.

The investigation has indicated a possible link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which claimed responsibility for the attack in an unverified social media post. Police have alleged that Rehan was in contact with a gang associate based abroad.

Advocate Ajinkya Mirgal appeared for the accused before the Mumbai court.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested four additional suspects for allegedly supplying the firearms used in the attack.

According to the police, a pistol and 20 rounds were procured from Amritsar on the instructions of the foreign-based contact and transported to Mumbai by a female accused.

Custodial interrogation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the shooting and establish the alleged roles of those involved.
